WHY USE KWS IN YOUR CENTRE?

Key Word Sign (KWS) is a valuable communication tool used in early childhood centres to support language development, inclusion, and engagement for all children. By combining simple signs with spoken words, educators can help children better understand and express their needs, feelings, and ideas. KWS is especially beneficial for children with communication delays, autism, developmental differences, or emerging language skills, while also supporting visual learners and children learning English as an additional language.

Using Key Word Sign in everyday routines, play, songs, and group activities creates a more inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child has the opportunity to communicate with confidence.
